Solutions / Negotiations

vemap-Negotiations are reversed auctions. The suppliers invited by the purchasing company have to underbid the prices. The price negotiations are substantially accelerated due to a vemap-negotiation and the bidders benefit from the market transparency. Before a vemap-negotiation you will be duly informed about the date and the conditions via E-Mail. In order to make yourself familiar with the new system you have the possibility to submit test bids during a test auction.

By entering your login and password to get access to the portal you may recall negotiation details and store them into your EDP-system for further processing.

Depending on the complexity a vemap-negotiation lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. If a bid arrives shortly before the theoretical end of the auction it prolongs itself automatically by a determined overtime. By that you will have the possibility to react on this bid. With each further arriving bid the auction prolongs itself automatically by this overtime as long as there is no further bid arriving.

The auction supervisor may interrupt the auction. After further release it runs at least 10 minutes again. If the remaining time before the interruption amounted to more than 10 minutes the auction will run at least up to the theoretical end indicated before.

Thus the total duration of a negotiation amounts to about 20 to 90 minutes.

It is possible to negotiate several items simultaneously. Bids will be submitted for each position which may as well consist of several parameters. If a lower bid will be entered the system will announce this to the bidder immediately. To ensure the anonymity the bidders do not know which competitors participate in the negotiation and of whom the best bid is.

Due to a special display comparable to a traffic light, the auction supervisor is able to see which supplier is participating in the auction. Furthermore he has the possibility to determine a discharge time limit because of passiveness. As soon as you logged in you may see the possible discharge time limit. By determining such a limit the auction dynamic will be forced and the duration of the auction reduced. Pay attention to enter valid bids in regular intervals, otherwise you will be discharged automatically. Three minutes before the discharge you will receive a warning so that there is enough time to enter a further bid.

We ask you for confirming your last bid in writing after the vemap-negotiation. The eventual awarding of the contract will be handled according to the practices of the individual customers as usual. Thereby the most favourable bid is the substantial criterion. You will find further information in our instruction manual to vemap-negotiations as soon as you logged in.
